Fat Boy Surf Club

Fat Boy Surf Club came to us with a clear goal: overhaul their website to bring in more customers to their online store. Their previous theme was basic and didn’t showcase their products well, so that was our first priority to fix. After reviewing their offerings and visual content, we chose a modern, clean theme designed to appeal to a younger demographic that responds to striking imagery and minimalist layouts over cluttered ones.

Alongside the redesign, we used Shopify’s metafields feature to enhance product pages beyond the standard buy box, highlighting product features and adding extra images so buyers get a fuller picture of what they’re purchasing. We also integrated a reviews app that automatically prompts customers for feedback once a purchase is delivered, encouraging engagement and building a steady stream of fresh reviews and images to help future customers decide.

We redesigned every page of the existing site with conversion in mind, aiming for customers to move seamlessly from browsing to checkout. We revamped their About page to tell their brand story more effectively, and built a Giving Back page explaining how a portion of company profits supports initiatives to protect manatees and other ocean causes. That commitment resonates with their customers and sets Fat Boy Surf Club apart as a surf and casual clothing brand with a real mission behind it.

We also provided consulting to help the client get the most out of Shopify’s features, guiding them toward the right apps for analytics, customer tracking, and upselling tools that surface product bundles to customers browsing related items.

Finally, once the site was complete, we ran a full SEO pass: added keywords, refined page titles, and improved descriptions across product, collection, and other key pages, aimed at improving search visibility and expanding their customer base in the surf and casual clothing industry.
